The new Nissan Kicks is the company’s first stab at the compact premium luxury SUV segment. This segment boasts the leader, the Creta, the Compass and now the Harrier. Nissan is likely to discontinue the Terrano as the Kicks is more affordable as well as premium than it. The Nissan Kicks brings in segment first features like an Around View Monitor. We like the fact that the Kicks looks compact but is spacious inside. The old 1.5-litre diesel engine is also perfect for the job, helping move the SUV smartly on the highways. Nissan also provides a 1.5-litre petrol motor. Both the engines though are mated to manual transmissions. An automatic is in the works though and should join the line-up soon.
