Nissan finally unveiled the Magnite SUV but in concept form. This was a world premiere and the company did it online looking at the present situation. The Nissan Magnite SUV is set for a launch this financial year and our hunch is by February 2021. While not much was spoken about the features or even the design language, it is out for all to see. The latter that is. This Magnite is a sub-4m SUV and will sit below the Kicks. The car seems more like the Datsun Go Cross concept that was unveiled in 2016. The Go Cross never made it to production and looks like Nissan India will not want to lose this opportunity. Beefy skid plates, flared wheel arches and LED lights all around are present. Just like the Kicks, the Magnite appears more of a crossover.
We will let the images do the talking now.

The Nissan Magnite SUV concept looks quite futuristic and should be an instant hit in terms of design.

These skid plates too add weight to the vehicle design. The LED fog lights might also be a part of the top variants.
The new Nissan Magnite LED DRLs could be a reality as we have seen these on the Datsun redi-Go as well.
The new Nissan Magnite concept had these chunky-looking skid plates at the rear. It is unlikely that this might make it to production. Could be very much a part of the accessories bin though.

The wheel arches definitely are flared and will be kept with the production model but these off-road focussed tyres will go away. In their place will come more road-biased units.
The Magnite gets a rear windscreen that doesn’t have a wiper or washer. This might change when the SUV goes into production. A car in this segment without a rear wiper and washer will be harakiri.
