With the unveil of the new Nissan Magnite, the Japanese carmaker is set to launch it early next year. The new Nissan Magnite marks the company’s debut in the sub-4m SUV space. This is one segment that is hotly contested and it will be interesting to see how Nissan India manages to carve its place there. The new Nissan Magnite is based on the same platform as the Triber and hence the localisation as well as commonality of parts will be more. This in turn will allow Nissan to price the car very aggressively. Expect the new Nissan Magnite price in India to start from Rs 5.3 lakh, ex-showroom. This will make it the cheapest SUV in the country. It will be powered by a choice of two petrol engines and three transmissions – manual, AMT and CVT. Here is a low down in images.
