The updated 2020 Honda City has been launched in India. This car is in its fifth generation and for the first ever time, the old and new cars will be sold together. Honda is retailing the older City as the entry point while the new model makes up for the top end. Honda has also priced the newer City variant at Rs 1 lakh more than than the older car’s base model. The difference though in the top variants though is only Rs 15,000 more. Considering that the City was one of the costliest cars in its category, this shouldn’t be a dampener to prospective owners. Bookings are already on for this car now and delivery starts from next month. Interesting enough? Read on to find the specs and most importantly check the pictures.

LED tail lights are standard. The all-new Honda City cabin has a neat look and there are rotary switches for the climate control. The 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system boasts Android Auto, Apple CarPlay as well as Amazon Alexa capabilities. The latter is a first for an Indian car across segments.Another look at the dashboard of the new Honda CityThe instrument console of the 2020 Honda City is easy to read and has the Econ meter added as well. This is something which we have seen in the older Amaze too. While the car has got petrol and diesel engines, only the former gets a 7-step CVT. Comes with a sport setting as well. The electric sunroof from the older car is carried forward. It isn’t a panoramic unit but should keep the customer happy. Notice the generous use of beige in the cabin.Along with climate control, there are rear AC vents. These add to the convenience but rob the middle passenger of much-needed leg room.Boot space of the all-new Honda City 2020 is 508 litres. As demonstrated here, this should be good for a couple of big bags and few smaller ones.All-LED headlights should look good as with the older car. Expect good visibility while driving in the night.
The wheelbase of the new City stays the same as the older car. Not a bad thing. However, it could have had a bit more legroom at the rear.
