By The 2019 Maruti WagonR is going to trend for sometime now. After all, it is one car that is on the affordable side as well as an icon. Its been more than a decade since the old WagonR was in existence. This time around, there is a new as well as lighter platform underpinning the car. Not only this, the platform brings with it a rigidity as well as safety. There is a fresh new look for the WagonR while the interior too has been spruced up significantly. Moreover, modern day features too have been added.
It is apparent now that the 2019 Maruti WagonR has a new 1.2-litre engine that is good for 83PS and 113Nm. This engine can be optioned with a five-speed manual or an AMT. One can also book the smaller 1.0-litre motor that is tuned for 69PS of power and 90Nm of torque. Again, the choice of transmission remains the same. The claimed mileage of this engine is 22.5kmpl whereas that of the 1.2-litre is 21.5kmpl. Unfortunately a CNG option has been given the miss at the onset. However, we have been told that it will arrive soon. Driver airbag, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD and speed warning are all part of the standard fare.
