Volkswagen India is quite upbeat about the response it has received to its popular Vento and Polo models. Ever since the BS6 versions were launched, they have been in high demand. Volkswagen also brought in limited edition models right after the BS6 launch. However, now it has upped the stakes with another special edition. The Volkswagen Vento special edition price in India is Rs 11.49 lakh while the Polo is for Rs 9.19 lakh, ex-showrooms. Both the versions are based on the Highline AT trims and bring in a new red and white theme. One can book the car through online or from the Volkswagen dealerships that are open. If you look at the Polo Highline TSI AT variant, it is Rs 47,000 expensive than this limited edition. For the Vento, the equivalent regular variant is Rs 70,000 expensive. This makes the special edition value-for-money.
What are the new features in the Volkswagen Vento special edition?
The new features in the Volkswagen Vento special edition include Sunset Red, Candy White paint schemes. A black roof is standard to both the colours. There are 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, stylish body stripes, black ORVMs and more. Inside, there is the 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers and more.
As for the Volkswagen Polo special edition, there is an additional Flash Red paint scheme on offer too and one will get a white roof with it too. It gets 16-inch alloy wheels, auto-dimming IRVM, hill-start assist and climate control. We love what Veedub is doing right here with their pricing strategy and offering additional features at a lower price point.
For the uninitiated, the Volkswagen Vento and Polo run a 3-cylinder, 1.0-litre petrol engine. This engine makes 110PS of power and 170Nm. A 6-speed torque converter transmission is on offer here for the limited edition versions.
