Updated Tata Tigor and Tiago JTP launched in India

Within a year of their launch, the Tata Tiago and Tigor JTP have seen revisions. Yes, the new Tigor and Tiago JTP have made it to the showrooms. There is no change in the price and both the vehicles are for Rs 6.69 lakh and Rs 7.59 lakh, ex-Delhi. The revisions though are claimed to make the twins a better prospect as far as performance vehicles are concerned.

Lets look at the changes in the vehicles

The Tiago and Tigor JTP machines have got a body coloured auto fold mirror function. The Tigor boasts a piano black antenna now. Both the cars get an automatic climate control mechanism while the Harman 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is also new. This system boasts Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay too. Apart from this, both the cars don’t have changes.

The Tiago and Tigor JTP give a hot hatch and sedan experience respectively. They are built on the regular versions but have fortified internals. There is an aggressive air splitter while the rear gets a wing too. Moreover, the engines are uprated and while the underlying 1.2-litre turbo petrol is the same architecture, it has been thoroughly revised. Power is up to 114PS while the torque 150Nm. The gearbox is a 5-speed manual unit. Both the cars will do 0-100kmph in less than 10 seconds. A new exhaust system as well as revised ride height enhance the driving pleasure.

Select Tata dealerships will retail the vehicle. It is being said that the sales as well as aftersales experience is a tad different. There are JTP personnel who will guide you to through the retail side and even during delivery, they help out. Post delivery, they get in touch too. Currently, in the market there are no competitors in the market for these vehicles. Tata enjoys a monopoly.
