TVS Scooty Zest BS6 launched in India; costlier than before, no new features

TVS Scooty Zest BS6

TVS Motor Company has been teasing the Scooty Zest BS6 from a long time. Now, the TVS Scooty Zest BS6 has been launched in India. The TVS Scooty Zest 110 BS6 price in India is Rs 58,460 and there are two variants – Himalayan High and Matte. The latter costs a tad more but TVS hasn’t revealed the details of the same yet. A look at the price of the BS4 and BS6, there is a difference of Rs 8,807. Bookings of the Scooty Zest BS6 have started. The scooter is available in Red, Blue, Purple, Black, Yellow and Turquoise Blue colours. These colour schemes are the same as before. The Zest 110 is a replacement for the TVS Wego that was discontinued earlier this year. AutoAlive has always liked TVS scooters and this one shouldn’t be any different either. Expect deliveries by late-August.

What’s new in the TVS Scooty Zest BS6?

The TVS Scooty Zest 110 BS6, has got no new features over that of the BS4. The scooter boasts a boot space of 19 litres. Aside from this, there is a LED DRL on offer, and LED tail lights. TVS offers the scooter with a 110c engine that uses fuel-injection. This engine now makes 7.7PS of power and 8.8Nm. The previous BS4 motor used to make 7.8PS and 8.4Nm. This additional torque and negligible power difference brings in more fuel economy. There shouldn’t be a difference in performance, except that the throttle now becomes a bit more crisper.

Weight of the scooter is expected to be more by at least 2kg. This being said, the Zest is one of the lightest scooters around with the BS4 unit weighing 97kg. There are telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear. TVS offers 130mm drum brakes at both ends with CBS. Tubeless tyres too are on offer.

Competition to the Scooty Zest 110 BS6 will be from the Hero Pleasure+. The latter though is a bigger scooter in dimensions.
