There is also a front disc brake version that costs Rs 54,820. This new edition will continue along with the regular version. Bookings have already started while deliveries will be fulfilled in 15 days.
What’s special in the TVS Radeon celebratory edition?
The TVS Radeon celebratory edition comes in two new colours – chrome black and chrome brown. Apart from this, there is a new petrol tank pad with the letter R on it, different thigh pad design, chrome rear view mirrors, chrome outline on the headlamp as well as carburetor cover and new metallic levers. Of course, there are the premium graphics as well. Launched in 2018, the Radeon has already sold more than two units and is a very popular motorcycle in North India.
There are no mechanical changes and the Radeon celebratory edition comes with a 110cc, single cylinder engine. This engine puts out 8.4PS of power and 8.7Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 4-speed gearbox. The fuel tank capacity is 10 litres while the claimed efficiency is 70kmpl. With the extra stopping power now available, courtesy the front disc brake, the Radeon has become one of the few commuters with the feature. CBS is standard on all trims.
TVS may have brought out this motorcycle as a festive season offering but it clearly is here to stay. The Radeon boasts a styling similar to that of the class best Splendor. This has endeared it to the traditional buyer who doesn’t prefer radically styled machines. The Honda stranglehold or even the Hero’s might not be broken right now but it looks like TVS is well on its way there with the Radeon.
