When it comes to middle-weight naked motorcycles, nothing comes close to the sheer potential of the Triumph Street Triple RS. Now, the updated 2020 model has been launched in India for a price tag of Rs 11.13 lakh, ex-showroom. We expect the standard motorcycle and the S to be launched in near future. Triumph has not increased the price which means the new buyers will get more value for money with the updated looks and added features. The company though will take up prices post July 2020. So, hurry up!
More details on the 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS
The new generation Street Triple was launched in India in 2017 and it sported an entirely new chassis, design and suspension setup. The 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS motorcycle has its LED DRLs redesigned to make for a more menacing look. The tweaked panels and the sleeker tail are making it look sharper than ever. In terms of cycle parts, the 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS continues with its beefy front forks, the wide set of tyres, dual front discs and a singular unit in the back. The RS will get the Ohlins STX fully adjustable suspension setup and Brembo brakes and a special paint-scheme for it to stand out.
The new motorcycle continues to get the TFT-screen with riding modes, traction control modes and its suite of electronic aids without which you need to be a thorough professional to be able to put the motorcycle through its paces. The TFT gets Bluetooth connectivity and GoPro controls as well with more and more riders opting for action cameras.
Even the engine has been tweaked to adhere to the BSVI norms and the powertrain now develops 120hp of power like before but the torque has been bumped up a little by 2Nm. The power is laid down through the six-speed gearbox that gets quickshifter both ways and that should make riding the motorcycle even more fun.
The Triumph Street Triple competes against the Suzuki GSX-750R, the Kawasaki Z900, the KTM Duke 790 and the Ducati Monster 821.
