Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the Etios Liva limited edition in India for Rs 6.50 lakh (P) and Rs 7.65 lakh (D), ex-showroom. Both these cars are available for sale right now across Toyota showrooms in India. The Toyota Etios Liva limited edition will be on sale for the next 90 days only. It is part of the festive season launch by Toyota.
What’s new in the Toyota Etios Liva Limited Edition?
The limited edition model is based on the V-spec top trim. The exterior highlights include the red accents on the grille, fog lights, rear spoiler as well as door handles. Toyota offers the car only in a white colour. The roof too has been painted black. There are also decals on the side of the car. Inside, Toyota offers black upholstery with red red accents. These red accents are also present on the AC vents and on the gear knob. Toyota is also giving a 6.8-inch touchscreen audio system as well as a reverse camera.
There are no changes to the engines or transmission. This means a 1.2-litre 80PS/104Nm engine that is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission for the petrol. The diesel in the meanwhile uses a 1.4-litre fixed geometry turbocharger that produces 68PS of power and 170Nm of torque. It also gets a 5-speed manual. The Liva is a front wheel drive vehicle.
History of Toyota Etios Liva
Toyota built the Etios platform for the Indian subcontinent specifically. In 2011, they launched the cars here. Both the cars have met with moderate success and this is because of the lack of features vis-a-vis the price tag. Moreover, the Etios twins have now got the taxi image and it becomes even harder to push it to individual buyers. A year ago, Toyota introduced a facelifted version of the Etios. All Toyota Etios Liva trims come with dual airbags and ABS along with EBD as standard.
