India’s first sub-4m electric SUV was launched earlier this year. The brand has also announced various schemes and initiatives around it. There was also a subscription program that Tata Motors introduced a few months ago. Technically one could own the Tata Nexon EV for 12, 24 or 36 months as they wish. This way, they wouldn’t have to pay the outright fees of the car and neither worry about its upkeep. Now, as a year-end offer, Tata Motors has got something for its customers. The Tata Nexon EV subscription price has been reduced. While it was starting at Rs 34,900, it is now for Rs 29,500/month. That’s a massive drop, with Tata Motors even dropping the 18-month plan as well. While earlier, customers had a cap of driving only 1,500km every month, the new plan outlies that they can drive 2,000km.
How does the Tata Nexon EV subscription help?
You own the car even if you aren’t parting with hard earned money outright. Tata Motors will take care of the services, roadside assistance as well as insurance. The Nexon EV can be purchased by paying the remaining amount. The Nexon EV boasts a 30.2kWh battery that is good for 129PS of power and 245Nm of torque. Tata Motors claims a 0-100kmph time of 9.9s whereas the top speed is in excess of 150kmph. The charging time required for this SUV is eight hours. With the subscription model, customers stand to get a 15 metre long charger that will be installed by Orix. In the Tata Nexon EV subscription program, if one wants a longer charger, then Rs 250/metre will be charged.
Only the Nexon EV XZ+ model is available for subscription, with the company promising a range of 312km. It is the top-spec version and comes with all the bells and whistles. Customers also have to pay a one time refundable security deposit with the EV.
