Tata Motors, after introducing the Nexon XM+ variant a couple of days ago has now launched the Harrier XT+. The Tata Harrier XT+ price in India is Rs 16.99 lakh. This price is Rs 60,000 more than the variant without a sunroof. There are no other feature changes from the XT. Tata Motors says that one can book the Harrier XT+ at a dealership or online. There is a catch. The pricing is introductory and customers need to book the car this month to avail it. From October, the prices are set to increase. Customers who are booking the SUV this month can defer their delivery till December 2020. The next available Harrier variant with a sunroof happens to be the XZ+. Available colours of the Harrier XT+ include calypso red, atlas black, sparkle cocoa, acus white, and telesto grey.
What does the Tata Harrier XT+ bring to the table?
The Tata Harrier XT+ variant’s sunroof closes automatically once the car is locked. This is a good feature for those who might tend to slide the sunroof in place. Then there is the anti-pinch feature that detects an obstacle and retracts the sunroof. There is also a rain sensor added in place that closes the sunroof. Cabin-facing part of the sunroof has a black coating material on it that reduces the heat infraction.
Features from the XT include dual function LED DRLs, projector headlights with auto on/off function, reverse parking camera, 17-inch alloys, 8-speaker 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment and push button start. As far as safety is concerned, there are two airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP with drive mode functions, and front fog lamps.
The Harrier XT+ uses a 2.0-litre diesel engine that makes 170PS of power and 350Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. An automatic is available as well but then it is not provided with the XT+.
