Suzuki has launched its first BS-VI product in the Indian market. The Suzuki Access 125 BS-VI, the company’s bread and butter model, is available in five trims. The Suzuki Access 125 BS-VI price in India starts from Rs 64,800 and goes up to Rs 69,500. This is an increase of Rs 6,500 from the BS-IV model. The scooter is now available at all Suzuki dealerships across India.
Any new fitments to the Suzuki Access 125 BS-VI?
Yes, an eco illumination assist is available in the semi-digital meter. Suzuki has also p voided external fuel filling with the scooter. All Access models now come with an LED headlight. The BS-VI motor makes 8.7PS of power and 10Nm. Suzuki has made sure the power remains the same but then the torque has gone down by 0.2Nm. The efficiency is claimed to have gone up while the kerb weight too has increased by 2kg. Suzuki has used fuel injection to meet the new norms.
On the hardware side, there is a dent disc brake that is optional. Combo braking too is available. The new Access 125 looks similar to the older model and apart from colour changes, there isn’t any other significant takeaway.
The new Suzuki Access 125 will go up against the Honda Activa 125 and the Hero Destini 125. Price wise, the Access is the most affordable and we forsee a huge demand for this scooter.
