In a bid to keep its flagship sedan offering fresh, Skoda India has launched a new variant of the Superb. The Skoda Superb Sportline is priced at Rs 28.99 lakh for petrol and Rs 31.49 lakh for diesel and sits on top of the range. It is available in both petrol as well as diesel variants. Bookings have already started while deliveries will begin in a few days. The available colours of the Skoda Superb Sportline are Velvet Red, Moon White and Steel Grey.
What’s new in the Skoda Superb Sportline?
Various cosmetic bits like glossy black bits on the mirrors, side window frames, the grille, spoiler and door inserts have been added. Sportline badges on both the fenders, chrome highlights on the rear diffuser as well as 17-inch dual tone alloy wheels round off the changes on the outside. Satin black Alcantara leather seats with diamond stitching, chrome pedals and Superb inscripted door sills are the changes inside. The reverse camera also has an integrated washer.
Skoda offers the Skoda Superb Sportline with a 1.8 TSI and a 2.0-litre TDI motors. The 1.8 TSI petrol engine in the Skoda Superb Sportline makes 180PS of power and 250Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed DSG automatic transmission. As far as the 2.0-litre diesel is concerned, the engine produces 177PS and 350Nm. One can order this engine with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG. The claimed mileage is 14,81kmpl and 18.66kmpl for the petrol and diesel respectively.
In terms of safety aids, the Skoda Superb Sportline comes with eight airbags, ABS , ESC (Electronic Stability Control), EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), MBA (Mechanical Brake Assist), MKB (Multi Collision Brake), HBA (Hill Brake Assist), HHC (Hill Hold Control), ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) and EDS (Electronic Differential Lock). There are also parking sensors on the front and back. The car can also parallel park itself.
All Skoda Superbs come with four year warranty and roadside assistance assurance. Recently, Skoda India inaugurated a 980 KW Advanced Solar Power Generation Project at its production facility in Aurangabad.
