The Jawa Perak launch recently has got Royal Enfield in action. It seems that RE was just waiting for a chance. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 single seater has been launched in India. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 single seater price in India is Rs 1.46 lakh, ex-showroom. This price is Rs 8,000 less than the other Classic 350 trim. Bookings as well as deliveries have already begun. In fact, the RE Classic 350 with a single seat now has less features than before and is available in a mercury silver and pure black colour options.
So, what’s changed in the Royal Enfield Classic 350 single seater?
You get a single seat version of the motorcycle. We know whom that is hinted at. We already spoke about the new colour options. There is a black theme on the spoke wheels as well as body and engine casing. The biggest mechanical change is that this is one of those rare Enfields that come with a single channel ABS. The 280mm front disc brake stays while the rear has a 153mm drum. RE customers too can avail the ‘Make your own’ customisation program that has been introduced in a phased manner. Currently, only few select dealerships offer it but then it will be available across all shortly.
In terms of the engine, there are no changes. The Classic 350 range continues to be powered by a BS-IV compliant, 350cc, single cylinder, 19.8PS/28Nm engine. The gearbox is a 5-speed unit. There is a two years/40,000km warranty offered on the Classic 350.
Royal Enfield is likely to move to BS-VI in the month of December. The brand recently showcased its new colour schemes for the Himalayan and other motorcycles at the EICMA 2019. These colours are expected to make their way to the Indian market pretty soon. The colours are a far departure from what we get here in India and should be an instant hit.
