Details of the Renault Triber
Renault’s Triber is one good looking car though from certain angles it looks like a love child of the Maruti Ertiga and Hyundai Grand i10. The top-end model gets projector headlights, LED DRLS, 15-inch alloy wheels, 8-inch touchscreen system with Android auto as well as Apple Carplay and more. Renault also offers individual vents for each row. The vehicle also gets push button start, keyless entry, fully digital instrument cluster as well a 625 litre boot space with the third row down. Renault says that the roof rails aren’t ornamental and will hold 50kg luggage.
Ground clearance of the vehicle is 182mm unladen while the fuel tank capacity is 40 litres.
Speaking of fuel capacity, the engine is a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder dual VVT petrol unit. The engine will be paired to a 5-speed manual and AMT. Maintenance costs will be lower than the best selling B-segment batch by 20 per cent, says Renault.
As far as safety is concerned, the top-spec gets four airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belts for all occupants, reverse parking sensors and a rear camera. Standard fare should include the dual airbags, ABS with EBD, speed warning, front seatbelt reminder and rear parking sensors.
