The Renault Logan now gets a new body style. It is called the Renault Logan Stepway Cross sedan. The model is designed on the lines of the Volvo S60 Cross Country. This variant is based on the updated Renault Logan which is a massive draw in Russia. Sales will start in Russia in a few months. There has been no word on exports or if its a Russia-specific model.
The bold new look that recent Renaults have been flaunting off late has made its way to the updated Logan. The Renault Logan Stepway Cross sedan carries forward the same look but has some different elements too. These include the black for the grille along with chrome on the outline and the big Renault losenge in the middle flanked by Duster-like headlights. There is also black plastic cladding all around to accentuate the off-road bias look. The ground clearance too has been raised by 30mm. It now stands at 195mm. To add to the bling factor, there is chrome around the fog lamp enclosures and new 15-inch dual tone alloys.
The cabin of the Renault Logan Stepway Cross sedan also features new bits like the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay-enabled touchscreen music system, updated materials and more. There is also the remote start system that allows the owner to remotely start the car to warm it up. It also allows the windshield to be warmed up as well. The ORVMs too can be heated up. Renault has also added rear parking sensors to the mix.
In terms of engines, Renault has used the tried and tested 1.6-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor. This engine though is available in three different state of tunes – 82PS, 102PS and 113PS. The more powerful tune receives a X-tronic CVT option whereas a 5-speed manual is offered as standard.
