Renault announces electric cars by 2022, automatic gearbox for Triber and new turbo-petrol engines

Renault has unveiled a design study on its compact MUV, the Triber, at the Auto Expo 2020 along with the introduction of the popular AMT gearbox. Also, the French car maker has showcased two new turbocharged petrol engines which will be introduced in Renault cars in near future.

Renault has also displayed it’s electric prowess withe the Zoe which was showcased in 2018, the K-ZE, their smallest EV yet and the last-mile connectivity tool, the Twizy.
The 1.0-litre petrol-AMT Triber will be launched in the second quarter of 2020 and will be available in the top and second to the top trims like it is across other models.
The turbocharged petrol engines are the biggest attraction here as they will power future Renault cars in India. The 1.3-litre turbo petrol is expected to power the new Renault Duster and the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol should power the Triber, the most successful products from Renault as of now.
These new engines will also get manual and automatic gearbox options and will be Renaults cornerstone in the future.
