Nissan has launched the Terrano Sport edition in India at Rs 12.22 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The Nissan Terrano is the company’s lone SUV offering in the country as of now and this special Sport edition brings with it cosmetic changes that are expected to infuse life in the product and generate interest. The changes include crimson stripes on the hood, LED DRLs on the side of the headlamp assembly, cladding on the front and wheel arch, black roof, stripes on the side, matching upholstery stitch and Nissan Connect. The latter helps owners of the Nissan Terrano Sport Edition to stay connected with their cell phone, be issues speed alert warnings and geo-fencing.
The music system is a 7.0-inch touchscreen unit. Nissan offers dual airbags, ABS with EBD on the Terrano Sport. Currently only the 85PS 1.5-litre diesel engine is being offered with the Sport version and considering that its all cosmetic changes, customers can certainly specify their 110PS Terrano with the same decals at a dealer level. It is likely that the Sport Edition will continue with the rest of the Terrano clan and will not be a limited edition trim. It is likely that the Nissan Terrano could soon be getting a comprehensive facelift and hence the need to clear old stock.
