Datsun India today launched the new Go and Go+ vehicles. The Datsun Go is priced at Rs 3.29 lakh while the new Datsun Go+ price in India is Rs 3.83 lakh. Both the prices are ex-showroom and are introductory. While bookings had started a few weeks ago, deliveries commence from today.
Added features in the new Datsun Go+ and Go
For starters, there are two new colour schemes. One is the brown while the other is the orange. Both the cars get LED DRLs, new bumpers at the front and back, 14-inch alloy wheels and rear parking sensors. Inside, the upholstery is new and the parking brake has moved to a conventional position. Customers will also like the new 7.0-inch touchscreen system which supports Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
Datsun has also taken this opportunity to add much needed safety features in the Go range. The new Datsun Go+ and Go get dual airbags and ABS with EBD as standard. It must be noted that earlier, the Go siblings were available only with a driver airbag on the top trims. This was one of the reasons the Go performed abysmally in the Global NCAP crash test ratings. It is likely that with the addition of these safety features, the cars should fare better in crash tests.
Both the models will come with a standard warranty of two years ’Datsun Care‘ comprehensive all-included service package. One can also extend the warranty to five years by paying a nominal fee.
Speaking on the launch, Thomas Kuehl, president, Nissan India Operations said, “The new Datsun GO and Datsun GO+ is conceptualized for the new-age Indian consumer, the millennials who are mature, smart goers, family oriented with a progressive and evolved mindset. Powered by Japanese engineering, Datsun GO and GO+ are equipped with fabulous new features and upgrades for a more comfortable, safe and stylish driving experience.”
