MV Agusta has launched their newest motorcycle in India, the Turismo Veloce 800 at a price tag of Rs. 18.99 lakhs, ex-showroom. For the first three customers though, Motoroyale is offering an early bird discount of Rs 2 lakhs. This is something that the manufacturer has done before with the SWM motorcycle.
The Turismo Veloce 800 is a cross-country tourer from the Italian exotic marquee and the first of a kind introduced in India by the famed motorcycle maker. Powered by the monstrous 798cc three cylinder petrol engine that develops 110PS of power and 80Nm of torque, the Veloce comes with a six-speed gearbox. Being a premium product, it gets 8-level traction control, Bosch’s 9th generation ABS, Brembo brakes, Bluetooth connectivity, immobiliser and cruise control.
With fully adjustable Marzocchi shocks in the front and Sachs in the back, the Turismo Veloce 800 is also equipped with rear-wheel lift mitigation, ride by wire, quick shifter and a slipper clutch.
Finally, coming to the aesthetics, the Turismo Veloce can be regarded as one of the best-looking tourers you can buy with its design and attention to detail. Ajinkya Firodia, at the launch of the new showroom in Navi Mumbai declared that a fancier SCS version with more equipment and a higher price tag will be launched next year. This is the company’s sixth multi-brand showroom in India. There is also one showroom in Thane. The brand intends to open more showrooms in the near future.
The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 will be offered in two colour schemes – red black and full black for now with the fancier paint schemes added later with the launch of the Lusso and the SCS. These are the higher-end trims of this motorcycle and are internationally available as well. It is expected that more vehicles from MV Agusta will be launched in India soon.
