Maruti Suzuki Swift limited edition launched with new features

Maruti Suzuki has launched a limited edition version of its popular Swift hatchback. The Maruti Suzuki Swift limited edition is available across all showrooms in India and can be booked now. The Maruti website though has been facing few technical issues and hasn’t been functional from yesterday. Maruti, for the first time, is offering customers the option to spec their Swift with these accessories even from the base LXi version. The cost of adding these accessories with the limited edition model is Rs 24,990. These include body kit, side molding, black grille garnish, door visors and a spoiler at the rear. This is done at the dealer level and hence even if you purchase the car and do it within 30 days, the same price will be applicable. This is a good deal considering the individuality it accords to the car.

What are the other features of the Maruti Suzuki Swift limited edition?

Nothing apart from what we have mentioned before. Inside, you get an updated upholstery and limited edition badges. The Swift limited edition comes with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine makes 83PS of power and 114Nm. A 5-speed manual or AMT is available with this engine. The claimed mileage is 21.21kmpl. It is the same for both manual and AMT.

All variants of the Swift boast dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and speed alert warning. Maruti gives a reverse camera, alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps, fog lamps, push button start, automatic climate control in the top models. The Swift limited edition will be on sale only for some time. It might weigh a bit more than the regular Swift given the additional accessories. The performance or fuel efficiency is highly likely to be affected.

The Swift competes with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Ford Figo and Volkswagen Polo. Maruti currently has a service carnival going on as well.
