Maruti Suzuki has launched the S-Presso mini-SUV in India at Rs 3.69 lakh, ex-showroom. There are 10 trims on offer and these are evenly divided between manual as well as automatic versions. Bookings for the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso start from today while the deliveries will begin in a few days. The S-Presso trims include Std, Std (O), Lxi, Lxi (O), Vxi, Vxi (O), Vxi+, Vxi AGS, Vxi (O) AGS and Vxi+ AGS. The S-Presso colours are Solid Sizzle Orange, Pearl Starry Blue, Superior White, Solid Fire Red, Metallic Granite Grey and Metallic Silky Silver.
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso specifications
This Maruti S-Presso measures 3,665mm in length, 1,520mm in width and 1,564mm in height. The wheelbase is 2,380mm. The seating capacity is for five while the luggage dimensions are 310 litres. Maruti Suzuki has given the S-Presso a SUV-like look. The design is inspired by the Vitara Brezza and is evident from the grille. Maruti have given halogen headlights while the the DRLs look aftermarket and are positioned below. There are no alloy wheels on offer. The base trim gets 13-inch while the 14-inchers are available with the wheel caps. At the rear, there are no badges apart from the S-Presso. You will also find Ignis design inspiration here.
Inside. the steering wheel is new and the meter cluster has been kept an all-digital affair. Moreover, it is centrally mounted. Right below is the Mini-styled infotainment system. The latter is the Smart Studio unit that it present in most of the new Marutis that were launched this year. You will also find the front power window (no rear powered option) as well as hazard lamp switch there. Fixed head rests too are a part of the S-Presso to keep costs low.
The engine is a BS-VI compliant 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder unit. This motor makes 68PS of power and 90Nm. The engine is paired to either a 5-speed manual or AMT. Maruti claims a fuel efficiency of 21.4 kmpl for std and 21.7 kmpl for both the MT & AGS versions. As part of the safety kit, the S-Presso comes with a driver airbag, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, speed alert warning and driver & co-driver seat belt warning as standard. Maruti S-Presso Std
This is the base version and is kept on sale for a good entry price. There is a manual steering. It doesn’t get power windows or any other creature comforts, not even an airconditioner. The (O) will add the passenger airbag to the equation.
Maruti S-Presso Lxi
You get a power steering as well as air conditioner in this. This one like the standard will run on 13-inch wheels. A basic music system has been added to the equation here. Again, the (O) will get you the additional airbag.
Maruti S-Presso Vxi
The Vxi brings in the Smart Studio infotainment as well as steering mounted controls, 12v charging socket and front power windows. Moreover, there are wheel caps (14-inch) as well as body coloured bumpers and mirrors.
Maruti S-Presso Vxi+
This one comes with a passenger airbag as standard. There is nothing more that this trim adds. The AMTs of the respective trims will have the same feature list.
