Maruti Suzuki has launched a Limited Edition Ertiga in India for Rs 7.80 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Based on the the mid-spec V trim, the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Limited Edition boasts three new colour options – exquisite maroon, superior white and silky grey. There is also the rear spoiler, moulding on the sides, alloy wheels, fog lamps with chrome bezels and ‘Limited Edition’ badge. Inside, there is a new red upholstery, faux wood on the dashboard, ambient lighting, new dual-tone steering cover and a centre armrest. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Limited Edition is available with both petrol as well as diesel engines and costs around Rs 15,000 more than its regular versions.
The 90PS 1.3-litre turbodiesel and 94PS 1.4-litre petrol motor remain unchanged. They are mated to 5-speed manual transmissions with the petrol getting an optional 4-speed AT too. Maruti is looking at launching the second-gen Ertiga soon in India. This means that current Ertigas may be in for a huge discount soon. The Limited Edition also signals that Maruti wants to clear existing stock soon before starting production of the new Ertiga. The new Maruti Ertiga will likely be called Ertiga X. It is bigger than the outgoing car as well as has more features. Dual airbags and ABS with EBD will be standard across the range. Prices are expected to go up slightly but given the monopoly that the Ertiga enjoys in the MUV segment currently, it is but natural that customers will lap up this 7-seater from Maruti.
