Mahindra is going all guns blazing. This year, we saw a number of all new products like the Alturas G4 as well as the Marazzo make their debut. The company also introduced a spin off of the TUV300, the TUV300 Plus. Now, it seems that Mahindra is making plans to introduce the TUV300 facelift. The Mahindra TUV300 facelift was spotted testing recently. It is likely that the compact SUV will be introduced in the market within the next six months.
Mahindra TUV300 facelift specifics
The Mahindra TUV300 facelift image is a blurry one. However, new smoked alloy wheels can be seen in the image. There could be LED elements for the tail lights as well. Mahindra will definitely have changed the face as well, though there are no images at the moment to corroborate those claims. The SUV will be under 4 metres in length and also has a semi-exposed wheel cover for the spare wheel.
Cabin quality will definitely be improved too. Expect a bigger touchscreen infotainment system while the upholstery will be revised as well. This time around, the feature list may have automatic climate control for the top trim. Mahindra will also add power foldable mirrors as well as one touch operation for the driver power window. Those power windows as it is were a pain given the time they take to go up and down. Rear AC vents too could be added.
Safety definitely will be higher than the current car. ABS with dual airbags and EBD will be standard across range. So will be ISOFIX child seat mounts. The Mahindra TUV300 facelift will go up against the lower variants of the Nexon as well as Vitara Brezza. In terms of mechanicals, there will be no changes and Mahindra should continue with that excellent 100PS 1.5-litre diesel engine. There will be a choice of 5-speed manual and AMT. Expect a slight price increase.
