Ktm 390 Adventure launched in India at Rs 2.99 lakh

KTM India has launched the 390 Adventure. The KTM 390 Adventure price in India is Rs 2.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The motorcycle was first showcased at the India Bike Week last year. One can now book the motorcycle across all KTM dealerships in India. A dealer confirmed that he has just received stocks of the 390 Adventure and deliveries will start from February.

Finally the KTM 390 Adventure is here!

Yes, it is. After years of rumors and teasers, the 390 Adventure has borne fruit. It has all the features combined with the Xpulse and Himalayan and some more.
The 390 Adventure is purpose built for off-road travel. It features a trellis frame chassis, long travel suspension by WP with 170mm of wheel travel in the front and 177mm of wheel travel in the rear, knobby Metzler tyres, ground clearance of 200mm, long wheelbase, extendable windshield and a protective bash plate for the engine.

Speaking of engine, it is the same unit from the 390 Duke but in BS-VI guise. It makes 43PS of power and 37Nm. The gearbox is a 6-speed unit and gets a quickshifter both on the up as well as down side. KTM has provided the motorcycle with traction control, switchable ABS, cornering ABS, 12v power outlet, adjustable windshield, 14.5-litre fuel tank and optional smartphone connectivity through the TFT display.

The KTM 390 Adventure though can’t be called a full blown off-roader. It still uses alloy wheels – 19-inch in the front and 17-inch at the rear. This being said, the motorcycle has a seat height of 855mm while the dry weight is 162kg.

Given its price point, the 390 Adventure will go up against the Kawasaki Ninja 300X. However, that’s a true off-roader and also has a twin cylinder heart. However it doesn’t do great numbers. We at Autoalive can see the KTM 390 Adventure becoming the next craze as far as a powerful as well as potent adventure tourer is concerned.
