This motorcycle is set to compete with the Ducati Scrambler as well as the Triumph Street Twin. The styling has been kept simple. Even the instrument console doesn’t have a fuel gauge. Moreover, Kawasaki is giving everything analogue in this motorcycle with a simple small LCD display for the odometer reading. You also get spoke wheels, a long slender seat, tubular grab rail, LED head light and circular mirrors. There are disc brakes on both ends along with ABS.
The W800 runs a 737cc, twin-cylinder engine. This air-cooled motor uses fuel injection, is BS-VI compliant as well as makes 47.5PS and 62.7Nm. A 5-speed gearbox is used here. Kawasaki has also given a slipper clutch which will help reduce efforts while shifting and prevent the rear wheel from hopping.
Kawasaki understands that it may not be able to move more units of the W800 given that other similarly styled bikes are available for much less. Will you buy one?
