Jeep India has finally brought in the Limited Plus edition. The Jeep Compass Limited Plus is priced at Rs 21.07 lakh for the diesel 4×2, Rs 21.41 lakh for the petrol auto and Rs 22.85 lakh for the diesel 4×4. This trim sits over the Limited and all the prices mentioned are ex-showroom, pan-India. There is a price increase of approximately Rs 1.5 lakh over the Limited. Bookings of the car have already started at Rs 50,000 across all Jeep dealerships. Deliveries are expected to start from next month.
What’s new in the Jeep Compass Limited Plus
The Jeep Compass Limited Plus is a trim based on the Limited and hence gets features over the same. These include 18-inch alloys and a panoramic sunroof on the outside. In the cabin, there are rain sensing wipers, auto headlights, auto dimming IRVM and a bigger 8.4-inch UConnect system. Other Limited niceties such as 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat with memory, dual zone climate control, rear AC vents and more continue.
Powertrain of the Jeep Compass Limited Plus
Mechanically, there are no changes in the Jeep Compass Limited Plus. The petrol-automatic combo is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo unit that makes 163PS of power and 260Nm of torque. Jeep claims a mileage of 14.1kmpl from this powertrain. For the diesel, there is the 2.0-litre turbo unit that makes 173PS and 360Nm. There is a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. For the 4×2 trim, the claimed mileage is 17.1kmpl while for the 4×4, it is 16.3kmpl.
Jeep India recently launched the Bedrock as well as Black Pack edition of the Compass. It is their single most selling car in the range that consists of the Wrangler as well as Cherokee models. In the coming months, Jeep India will also bring in the Trailhawk edition that will have a diesel-auto combo. It will be priced over Rs 3 lakh than the regular trims. It will also have more features for better off-road ability.
