At a time when car makers are launching special editions of their existing vehicles, Hyundai doesn’t want to be left behind. The Korean carmaker has launched the Hyundai Verna anniversary edition in India at Rs 11.69 lakh, ex-Delhi. The Hyundai Verna anniversary edition is based on the top-spec SX(O) trim and brings in a few additional features. The anniversary edition will likely be on sale for the next 60 days or so and is limited to 1,000 units. It is expected to boost the sales numbers of the Verna significantly.
New features of the Hyundai Verna anniversary edition
Hyundai has got in two new exterior shade options – Marina Blue and Polar White. Black ORVMs, skid plates at the front and rear, black shark fin antenna and anniversary edition emblem are some of the additions outside. The black ORVMs as well as the shark fin antenna in black are exclusive to the blue colour. Inside, one gets wireless charging for phones, blue colour accents on the AC as well as contrast blue stitching for the seats. One also gets second and third year insurance free with the anniversary edition. There are exchange benefits of Rs 20,000 as well as select corporates can avail an extra 20k on purchase of the limited edition. Hyundai offers a warranty of three years or unlimited kilometres with all trims of the Verna.
These features are in addition to the ventilated front seats, auto climate control, push button start and sunroof which is offered on the SX (O) trims. As far as engines are concerned, one can opt for two petrol and one diesel engine in the Verna. The petrol engines are available in a 100PS and 123PS configurations. One can choose a 6-speed manual or an automatic with the 123PS engine. The diesel in the meanwhile is available only with a 128PS engine and 6-speed manual configuration. Hyundai isn’t offering the anniversary edition with the diesel automatic combination though.
