Aah the festive season! It is usually the right time to buy something as almost everyone joins the mood and offers discounts galore. One such maker happens to be Hyundai India. To aid sales for its entry-level car, the Santro, Hyundai has introduced new variants. The Hyundai Santro Corporate Edition has been rolled out. The Hyundai Santro Corporate Edition is available in the Magna and Magna AMT trims. Hyundai has priced the Magna Coporate Edition at Rs 5.23 lakh while the AMT is for Rs 5.72 lakh, ex-showroom. These prices are Rs 14,000 over that of the regular Magna version (is still on sale). It effectively bridges the gap between the Magna and Sportz variants. Hyundai dealers across India have these variants in the showroom and in the same colour options as the others. You can also push for discounts as well since the Santro isn’t a hot-selling car.
What’s new in the Hyundai Santro Corporate Edition?
The Santro Corporate Edition variants get a touchscreen infotainment system with inbuilt Apple and Android support. Electrically adjustable ORVMs too are being provided. It can be safely said that most of the features of the Sportz. It also includes turn indicators on the ORVMs. A day-night IRVM too is included.
There are no changes in the powertrain. The 1.1-litre Epsilon, 4-cylinder petrol engine makes 69PS of power and 99Nm. Hyundai gives a 5-speed manual or its in-house-developed AMT. If one chooses the optional CNG, the power and torque go down to 60PS and 85Nm. Unfortunately, the CNG and AMT cannot be combine and one has to go for the manual.
The Hyundai Santro Corporate Edition might pique interest but then will it be able to sustain it? The Santro as it is one of the costliest cars in its segment but is decently feature-rich too.
