Hyundai Grand i10 Nios launched in India at Rs 5.0 lakh

Hyundai India has launched the replacement of the Grand i10. The new Hyundai Grand i10 Nios price in India starts from Rs 5.0 lakh and goes up to Rs 8 lakh, ex-showroom. There are seven trims in petrol and three in petrol. The colours include polar white, typhoon solver, titan grey, fiery red, alpha blue, aqua teal, white+black and aqua teal+black. It may be noted that only the Sportz manual can be ordered with a dual tone colour. In the meanwhile, the Era can be brought only with silver, grey and white colours. Bookings have already started while the deliveries will begin in a few days.
The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios gets a new chassis. This means the design too is new as well as the interior bits. Hyundai has ensured that the cascading grille design is bold and is the focal point. There are LED strips flanking it. The side profile vastly stays the same but then the car gets new alloys. The rear is demure compared to the front but overall gels well with the theme.
Inside, Hyundai has ensured that things feel a bit new. For example, the steering wheel is new but doesn’t get cruise control yet. The meters are new in appearance but don’t bring anything significant in terms of information with respect to other Hyundais. There is auto climate control as well as rear AC vents. Hyundai has also provided the air purifier that was first seen on the Venue. An 8.0-inch touchscreen system complete with Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay is available too.
As far as engines are concerned, there are two on offer. These are familiar units from the previous model but only the petrol is in BS-VI guise. The engines are an 84PS/113Nm, 1.2-litre petrol and a 74PS/190Nm, 1.2-litre diesel. One can order the engines with a 5-speed manual or an AMT. The claimed mileage remains the same as before.
Hyundai is offering a three year/1 lakh kilometre warranty on the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. There are offers if you book online through SBI and other merchants. The older Grand i10 continues but only with a petrol-manual option.
