Hyundai Aura sedan to be unveiled in India on December 19

December 19 seems to be a hot date for auto manufacturers. First Yamaha will roll out a new motorcycle in India on that day. Hyundai will now unveil its new sedan here on the same day. The venue is yet to be decided but it will most likely be in New Delhi. Hyundai recently shared a teaser about the Aura sedan. The Hyundai Aura sedan will have BS-VI engines right from the start. The mix includes two petrol and one diesel engine. The petrol and diesel will be shared with the Nios while the 1.0-litre turbo petrol is from the Venue. Unfortunately though, it will come only with a 5-speed manual. Hyundai though will provide the 1.2-litre petrol/diesel with an optional 5-speed AMT.

The Hyundai Aura sedan will replace the Xcent. There are talks that the car will be launched at the Auto Expo while the older Xcent will move to the taxi segment. The Hyundai Aura is expected to have increased in length as well as width. The wheelbase too is claimed to have gone up though we don’t have exact details available at the moment. Hyundai will have LED projector headlights. The cabin too will have new additions and it is likely that the air purifier will make its way here as well. The touchscreen infotainment system too will be an 8.0-inch unit and might come with connected car tech. There will be rear AC vents along with climate control. It is highly likely that a sunroof might be on offer as well.

Hyundai recently recalled its CNG-equipped Grand i10 as well as Xcent models. These cars have had an issue with the fuel coupler. Hyundai claims that these are all non-ABS models. The repair work will be done free of cost and customers are being called to the authorised workshops for the same.
