Hyundai India is readying for a grand entry at the Auto Expo 2020. This is the new Hyundai Aura sedan. The sedan is the replacement for the Xcent. It will be based on the Grand i10 Nios platform. While there are scant details at the moment, we believe that the older Xcent will be relegated to taxi duties. The fleet department is where the Xcent truly shines and takes the fight to the Dzire.
What we know about the new Hyundai Aura sedan?
It will definitely be bigger than the current Xcent. The model will also get LED projector headlights, LED DRLs as well as tail lights. Hyundai will also offer 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside there will be connected car technology and a sunroof too. Hyundai will have an air purifier in the cabin as well. Other goodies such as automatic climate control, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system as well as ventilated driver seat.
With the Hyundai Aura sedan, the company aims to unsettle the compact segment. For this, there will be BS-VI compliant petrol and diesel engines. AMTs will be offered with both. A 5-speed manual too will be standard. Expect a bit of efficiency gain over the BS-IV models.
All the Hyundai Aura sedan versions are expected to come with dual airbags and ABS with EBD. Expect a warranty of three years or 50,000km whichever is earlier on these models.
The Hyundai Aura price in India should start from Rs 5.3 lakh, ex-showroom. The launch is likely to happen at the Auto Expo 2020. Keep your eyes peeled because we will be updating the website soon. Stay tuned!
