Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India Limited (HMSI) has updated its Activa i and Aviator 110cc scooters. The Activa i is now priced at Rs 50,010 whereas the Aviator is priced at Rs 55,157, ex-Delhi. Both the scooters receive significant updates to bring them up to time. One can book both the scooters immediately across HMSI showrooms in India.
2018 Honda Aviator
The new Honda Aviator 2018 gets a LED headlight along with guide lights, two hooks – one in the front and one at the back and a metal muffler protector. A new Spartan Red colour is also offered. This is in addition to the existing black, silver and white colours. There are three variants – standard, alloy drum and alloy disc. The Aviator is also the only Honda 110cc scooter in India to get a front disc brake. It is powered by the 8PS/8.9Nm 110cc air cooled engine and a variomatic transmission. The Aviator is billed as a man’s scooter in the company’s range.
2018 Honda Activa i
Built on the same lines as the Hero Pleasure, the Activa i is for the ladies. It gets its first serious update now. The meter console now gets a blue backlight, front hook, four-in-one lock and a muffler protector made of metal. Two new colours Blue and Grey have also been introduced. Unfortunately the LED headlight hasn’t made its way here. Powering the Activa i is the same 110cc engine from the Aviator – 8PS/8.9Nm. Honda offers drum brakes on both the ends. The Combi Braking system is also available with the Activa i.
Honda has been steadily updating its scooter and motorcycle range in India. Except for the Cliq that was launched last year, almost all of their scooters now have a LED headlight. HMSI had recently said that they are ready for the BS-VI norms and work has already started at their plants. All of HMSI’s scooters also get Combi Braking too.
