Honda has been steadily rolling updates to its entire scooter range. Just like we had said a few months ago, the entire line-up will benefit from the new bits on the Honda Grazia. Looks like its 125cc cousin, the Activa 125 has received the same bits now.
Starting with the all-LED headlight that was the much talked about feature of the Grazia, has now made its way to the Activa 125. There are LED pilot lamps too. You will also notice the black alloy wheels (12-inch at the front and 10-inch at the rear), meter console with 3-step Eco indicator as well as service due reminder, chrome muffler available only for the disc brake variant and 4-step shutter lock that also opens the seat. Under the seat rests the fuel filler slot and there is also an optional mobile charging socket available now.
Mechanically, nothing has changed and this means telescopic front forks and a 3-step adjustable shock absorber at the rear. While a 190mm disc brake is optional, 130mm drums at the front and rear are standard. Combined Braking System though is standard. The 125cc engine boasts 8.63PS and 10.54Nm. The claimed fuel efficiency is 60kmpl.
The 2018 Honda Activa 125 will go against the Suzuki Access 125 and the TVS NTorq 125. It is priced at Rs 61,245 for the base, Rs 63,181 for the drum alloy and Rs 65,630 for the disc alloy variants, ex-Mumbai. These are approximately Rs 2,000 over the 2017 trim.
