Hero Motocorp is on a launch spree. Earlier this month, they brought in three new bikes, the Xpulse twins and the Xtreme 200S. Now, there is the updated Pleasure scooter. Called the Hero Pleasure Plus, the scooter will go on sale later this month. Bookings have started while you can expect deliveries to take place closer to mid-June. Speaking of bookings, the Hero Pleasure Plus price in India starts from Rs 47,300 for the base trim while the cast wheel will cost Rs 2,000 more, ex-showroom Delhi.
What’s new in the Hero Pleasure Plus?
For starters, it’s hard to believe that that this is the Activa-i lookalike scooter. It has changed completely. The front end boasts a retro look while the front apron has a smattering of chrome. The mirrors too are broader than before. Hero has also updated the tail section and it looks more attractive now. There are different colour palettes for the new Pleasure. This includes glossy finish for the base trim and a matte for the cast wheel trim.
Features include drum brakes on both ends with IBS, power socket, LED boot light and side stand indicator.
We’ve saved the best for the last. The new Pleasure gets a bigger engine. The 110cc motor is air-cooled and Feb via a carb. It produces 8PS of power and 8.7Nm. This engine is also in use in the Duet. The Hero Pleasure still remains one of the lightest scooters in its class. With the added firepower, performance will be peppy for sure.
Competition for the Hero Pleasure Plus comes in the form of the Honda Activa-i, TVS Scooty and Yamaha Ray.
