Hero’s second BS-VI product for the Indian market is ready. Meet the new Hero HF Deluxe BS-VI. This is Hero’s second BS-VI product in the market and will be available pan-India in a few weeks time. The Hero HF Deluxe BS-VI price in India starts from Rs 55,925 for the self-start and alloy trim while it is Rs 57,260 for the i3s version. Both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
What’s new about the Hero HF Deluxe BS-VI?
While the looks as well as silhouette is the same as before, the BS-VI model gets a host of changes. The engine for starters makes 7.9PS of power as opposed to the 8.1PS that the BS-IV made. Torque of 8.05Nm remains the same but is achieved at a higher 6,000rpm. A fuel injector with 10 sensors is being used whereas the compression ratio stays the same as before. Hero has also managed to eke out six percent better fuel efficiency. The previous model used to claim 67.2kmpl while the BS-VI runs for 73km before needing a refuel. I3S like the previous model is present and contributes to the efficiency as well as lesser emissions.
Kerb weight stays the same at 106kg and the gearbox is still a 4-speed unit. Acceleration time from 0-60kmph is now 8.5s as opposed to the 9.0s by the BS-IV model. Top speed has also marginally gone up to
Amongst features, a side stand indicator is present, fuel injection indicator as well as a new outline for the meters. There is also a new techno blue colour available too. There are drum brakes with tubeless tyres at both ends. CBS is part of the package as well. The fuel tank capacity is 11 litres with 1.4-litres being for reserve.
The Hero HF Deluxe BS-VI will compete with the Bajaj Platina 100 and TVS Sport. The BS-VI version prices are Rs 5,000 over that of the BS-IV model.
