Details on the Hero Destini 125
The Hero Destini 125 is based on the same Duet platform. In profile, the scooter looks similar to the Honda Activa 125. The apron of the scooter has chrome highlights while the sides seem a bit flared. The tail light is an LED unit while there is also an external fuel filler on offer. In terms of features, the Destini brings in an analogue-digital meter, side stand indicator, drum brakes, Combined Braking System and a service indicator. The seat appears well padded as well.
In terms of suspension, there is a telescopic front fork while the rear is a monoshock unit. The underseat storage capacity is around 18 litres. It gets a boot light as well as a mobile charging port. There are two hooks near the edge of the seat. Tubeless MRF Nylogrip tyres are on offer on the front and rear 10-inch wheels. Depending on the variant chosen, one gets steel or alloy wheels.
The Hero Destini runs a new 125cc air cooled engine. This unit produces 8.7PS of power while the torque generated is 10.2Nm. Couoled to this engine is Hero’s i3S technology – the first time it is used on an Indian scooter. i3S basically stops the engine when the scooter has been idling for more than 10 seconds. One can restart the scooter by just thumbing the starter again.
