Ford India is offering more value to its customers. Ford customers can now opt for one, two, or three year extended warranty on their cars. The Ford India extended warranty coverage now goes up to 1.5 lakh kilometres or six years. The terms and conditions of this extended warranty now includes electrical as well as mechanical issues that may arise. It also provides coverage for the repair costs of the same. However, regular wear and tear items or even periodic services aren’t covered under this scheme. Accident repairs too will be treated as out of the coverage. All Ford cars like the Freestyle, EcoSport, Endeavour, Figo and Aspire are covered under this scheme. Roadside assistance can also be bundled with the extended warranty, at a nominal rate. One can buy the extended warranty till the last date of their original three year coverage.
What is the cost of the extended warranty by Ford India?
If the customer happens to sell the car or upgrade, the extended warranty can be transferred to the new owner. For the Ford EcoSport, customers will have to pay Rs 10,524 – 13,624, Rs 16,066 – 20,766, and Rs 30,089 – 39,189 petrol variants for fourth, fifth and sixth year respectively.
