Ford India has rolled out a festive season model for our market. It is called the Ford Freestyle Flair and is on sale now. The Ford Flair builds on the top-spec Titanium+ variant. The Ford Freestyle Flair price in India is Rs 7.69 lakh for petrol and Rs 8.79 lakh, ex-showroom. One can now book it online through the Ford website or from an authorised dealership. There are cosmetic changes to the car but these ones do make it standout. The Flair will continue as a regular variant in the Freestyle line-up. Compared to the Titanium+ variant, the Flair is priced Rs 10,000 more. Moreover, if the Flair name sounds familiar, we don’t blame you. After all Ford used to sell the Ikon with a Flair tag. Here then is what is new with this car.
Specs, features of Ford Freestyle Flair
That the Freestyle feels quite good to drive has been already established in our first drive review. The Flair will not add anything to it as it doesn’t have any mechanical changes. There is a Flair badge, black roof with red roof rails, red and black ORVMs, black skid plates and alloy wheels. Inside, the upholstery has been given a Flair overall, plus there are accents on the doors. Since this is the Titanium+ variant underneath, it is fully loaded with features like reverse camera, six airbags, 7.0-inch touchscreen system.
Powering the Ford Freestyle Flair are two engines. One is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated motor that pumps out 96PS of power and 119Nm of torque. There is also the 1.5-litre turbo diesel that makes 100PS/215Nm.. Both the engines are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. There are talks that a 6-speed automatic might be introduced with the petrol engine. However, buyers in this segment look for the ease of an auto and efficiency of diesel. The Ford Freestyle competes with the Honda WR-V.
