Ford India has been teasing a black colour for the Endeavour. Turns out that it was the new Ford Endeavour Sport. Launching it in this festive season seems like a masterstroke. During the festive season, Indian folks are quite liberal when it comes to spending money. Pandemic or no pandemic, these decisions are taken months or perhaps years in advance. The Ford Endeavour Sport price in India is Rs 35.10 lakh and there is only one variant. Ford dealers have officially started taking bookings with few promising delivery as early as next week. The Endeavour Sport is based on the previous top-spec Titanium+ variant and hence comes with all the bells and whistles. It is said that this variant will continue along with the other versions and will not be limited edition stuff.
What does the Ford Endeavour Sport bring to the table?
First-up, three new colour options – absolute black, diffused silver and diamond white. There are black smoked headlamps, black roof rails, sport decals and sinister looking alloys. No changes can be seen on the inside but then the Titanium+ version always had most of the goodies including a panoramic sunroof, powered driver and shotgun seats, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, powered tail gate and more. There is also the third row of seating, climate control, drive modes, all-wheel drive and semi-autonomous parallel parking assist.
Powering the Ford Endeavour Sport is a 2.0-litre, bi-turbo, 4-cylinder diesel engine. This engine makes 170PS of power and 420Nm of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission is mated to this motor. Ford claims a mileage of 12.4kmpl from this powertrain. SelectShift is available on the Ford Endeavour Sport as well. If you’re looking for an SUV that takes on the regular with the off-road, then this is it for you. It has got 800mm wading capability.
