Yes, it is the XUV300 that is in news again! The compact Mahindra XUV300 SUV has become the talk of the town. The SUV will be launched in India on February 14, 2019. While Mahindra has already conducted a media test drive, the company didn’t reveal the variant feature list or other details. AutoAlive has got its hands on this vital information piece now. So, without further ado here are the Mahindra XUV300 variants, feature list as well as engine details.

Mahindra XUV300 variants ( engine and transmission)

Mahindra XUV300 SUV

The Mahindra XUV300 variants, as we’ll know will have turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. While the torque numbers were officially revealed, the power numbers weren’t. The new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine in the XUV300 will produce 110PS of power at 5,000rpm while the torque generated will be 200Nm between 2,000-3,500rpm. The diesel in the meanwhile is the familiar 1.5-litre unit from the Marazzo, but it has been detuned for application in the XUV300. While the torque output stays put at 300Nm @ 1,500-2,500rpm, the power is now 115PS @ 3,750rpm. Both the engines are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The Mahindra XUV300 petrol will deliver an ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 17kmpl while the diesel gives a mileage of 20kmpl. While the other specs are already out and we will not go over them, one main area of concern was the boot space. A source tells us that it will be 257 litres and when the 60:40 split seats are tumbled down, the space increases to 625 litres. The ground clearance is 180mm.
