The Ducati Scrambler 1100 has been launched in India at Rs 10.91 lakh. There are three trims on offer – Scrambler 1100 Special (Rs 11.12 lakh) and the 1100 Sport (Rs 11.42 lakh), ex-Delhi. Bookings for the motorcycle have started across all the Ducati dealerships in India. Deliveries are set to start in a couple of weeks.
Common to all three Ducati Scrambler 1100 models is the 1079cc L-twin motor that is air-cooled and has 2 valves per cylinder. This engine produces 88Nm of torque and 86PS. These numbers are 11Nm and 12PS more than the regular 800cc Scrambler. Standard for all the Scrambler 1100 trims are the three riding modes – Active, Journey and City. There is also cornering ABS as well as traction control available. The Brembo twin discs in the front and a single one at the rear handle braking duties. Ducati has also added a generously padded wide seat for all the Scrambler 1100s. All three bikes also get 120/80 R18 Pirelli MT60 tyre in the front and a 180/55 R17 Pirelli MT60 tyre at the back. The instrument cluster looks similar to the smaller 800’s unit but gets an extended pod which also shows the gear indicator, speed and high beam on.
Ducati Scrambler 1100
The aforementioned specifications stand good for the base model. It also comes exclusively in the ’62 Yellow and Shining Black color scheme. The suspension comprises of Marzocchi forks in the front and a Kayaba monoshock at the back. It gets black alloy wheels too.
Ducati Scrambler 1100 Special
As the name suggests, this one gets an exclusive colour as well – custom grey with yellow detailing on the fuel tank. Ducati has added spoked wheels, lower handlebars, chromed exhaust headers, a brown leather quilted seat and a brushed swing arm.
Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport
This one claims to be the sportiest of the lot and gets fully adjustable Ohlins suspension at both ends. It also gets the same black alloy wheels as the base unit but with some machining added to it. One can order this trim with the Viper Black colour scheme.
