The Ducati Scrambler 1100 has been launched in India at Rs 10.91 lakh. There are three trims on offer – Scrambler 1100 Special (Rs 11.12 lakh) and the 1100 Sport (Rs 11.42 lakh), ex-Delhi. Bookings for the motorcycle have started across all the Ducati dealerships in India. Deliveries are set to start in a couple of weeks.

Common to all three Ducati Scrambler 1100 models is the 1079cc L-twin motor that is air-cooled and has 2 valves per cylinder. This engine produces 88Nm of torque and 86PS. These numbers are 11Nm and 12PS more than the regular 800cc Scrambler. Standard for all the Scrambler 1100 trims are the three riding modes – Active, Journey and City. There is also cornering ABS as well as traction control available. The Brembo twin discs in the front and a single one at the rear handle braking duties. Ducati has also added a generously padded wide seat for all the Scrambler 1100s. All three bikes also get 120/80 R18 Pirelli MT60 tyre in  the front and a 180/55 R17 Pirelli MT60 tyre at the back. The instrument cluster looks similar to the smaller 800’s unit but gets an extended  pod which also shows the gear indicator, speed and high beam on.
