Ducati India continues to celebrate the 25 years of the Monster series of motorcycles and to this very effect, the company has launched the Ducati Monster 797+ for Rs 8.03 lakh, ex-showroom. Don’t rub your eyes, the price written is correct. Both the Monster 797 and the 797+ retail for the same price. Along with this launch, Ducati India has also started deliveries of the Monster 821 which is priced at Rs 9.51 lakh and was launched earlier this year.
So what does the Ducati Monster 797+ bring over the regular 797. For starters, the motorcycle gets a bikini fairing which includes a small windscreen. There is also the passenger seat cover. Both the fairing as well as the passenger seat cover are done up in the palette matching the front mudguard and the tank. The Ducati Monster 797+ uses an L-twin engine that makes 75PS of power and 67Nm of torque. A 6-speed gearbox transfers the power to the rear wheel. ABS is standard fare on the Monster range of motorcycles.
Ducati says that the Monster 797+ as well as the 821 are now available across Ducati showrooms in India – Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata. Deliveries may take a month or thereabouts. Ducati also offers its financial services as well as extended warranty programmes on these motorcycles.
