Datsun redi-GO limited edition 2018 launched in India

Datsun India has launched the redi-GO limited edition. The Datsun redi-GO limited edition 2018 is priced at Rs 3.58 lakh for the 0.8-litre and Rs 3.85 lakh for the 1.0-litre engines, ex-showroom. This Datsun redi-GO limited edition trim is based on the T (O) and boasts additional features and decals. The price is Rs 20,000 over the regular T(O) trims. Bookings as well as deliveries have already started across Nissan dealerships across India. Only three colours are available with the Datsun redi-GO limited edition 2018 – white, silver and red. The cars will be available on sale for 90 days from now.

Apart from what is offered on the regular trim of the redi-GO, the limited edition gets front and rear new bumper undercovers, wheel caps, roof wrap, new graphics, The grille gets a splash of red inserts and so does the tail. The cabin gets red and black upholstery, while the same red accents continue on the AC as well. The gear bezel too gets a chrome trim over it. Inside chrome door handles too are available. With this limited edition, Datsun has also got reverse parking sensors with a distance display as well and carpet mats.

As far as the engines are concerned, there are no mechanical changes. The 0.8-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine boasts 53PS of power and 73Nm of torque while the 1.0-litre motor produces 67PS and 91Nm. Only a 5-speed manual transmission is available with the limited edition models. If you want the AMT, then the regular options will be your only choice.

Currently, the Datsun redi-GO competes with its cousin, the Renault Kwid. The French carmaker gave an update to the Kwid recently and it looks like the order books are going to fill up very soon as well.

In other news, Datsun will be also bringing out facelifted versions of the GO and GO+ soon. These models will have new features, dual airbags, reverse parking sensors, touchsreen infotainment system and more features. The fuel efficiency too will be enhanced. However, expect a slight increase in price when these two models go on sale.
