CF Moto has launched its vehicles in association with AMW Motors. The latter is a Bangalore-based company that will be the sole distributor of CF Moto products in India. AMW has also invested in a manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Bangalore. This facility can churn out 10,000 units in a year. If there is demand, production can be ramped up.
On to the bikes, please?
There are four motorcycles on offer.
The CF Moto 300NK price in India is Rs 2.29 lakh, ex-showroom. The 34PS/20.5Nm, 300cc, liquid-cooled engined, single cylinder CF Moto 300NK is the entry product as of now. It boasts a street fighter styling, dual riding modes, TFT colour display and full led light cluster for the front as well as rear. The riding modes is more of a gimmick which just changes the colour of the display. This street fighter takes on the Honda CB300R as well as the KTM 250 Duke.
CF Moto has three products based on the same platform. This includes the 650NK, 650MT and 650GT. The naked 650 has all the features of the 300 but the riding modes actually play around with the effectiveness of the ABS. How this functions is something we will have to wait and check post riding the bike. Moreover, this Rs 3.99 lakh bike competes with the Kawasaki Z650 as well as the RE Interceptor 650.
If you look at the 650MT, it’s an adventure tourer. This machine has all the trappings of an ADV but it runs 17-inch Metzler tyres on alloy wheels at both ends. The tank capacity is 18 litres and typical to an ADV, there is a tall windscreen too. The CF Moto 650MT price in India is Rs 4.99 lakh, ex-showroom and it goes against the Suzuki V-Strom 650 and Kawasaki Versys 650. The engine makes 62.5hp/58.5Nm.
Like the Ninja 650, the CF Moto 650GT is a sports tourer. In this form, the engine makes the highest power of 70PS and torque of 62Nm. The company is giving two USB power outlets with this bike. The ground clearance is higher than the competition at 150mm. Price though is at par with the Ninja 650 at Rs 5.49 lakh, ex-showroom. All these prices are introductory but CF Moto says that these will stay for sometime.
One can book the bikes online from August 5 while deliveries are scheduled for October. Officials from AMW confirmed that production will start from September. More than 10 dealers have been appointed in six metros while more are expected to be added in the coming days. All these dealerships will be 3S facilities, meaning they will have a sales, spares and service support. A new app will be launched soon that will tell the customer if a particular spare part is available in the dealership and if not, the wait time. All this within five minutes of asking the question.
