CF Moto. The name doesn’t ring a bell. Let us jog your memory cells. CF Moto is a Chinese motorcycle maker which was supposed to debut in the Indian market in 2016. They had tied up Eider Motors (as per last official statement, the company had gone bankrupt) and the latter was supposed to be there sole distributor in India. However, for the first time, in as many as three years the CF Moto 250NK has been spotted testing. The motorcycle was spied testing near Telangana.

The motorcycle looks smashing. That is for sure. Even with the camouflage, the 250 Duke resemblance is uncanny. The CF Moto 250NK has an all-LED light including those for the indicators as well as tail lamp. The instrumentation is all-digital and is a TFT unit which can be configured. A rain as well as sport mode too have been provided and the instrument console changes its colour based on the mode selected. The CF Moto 250NK boasts a 249cc, liquid cooled, DOHC engine that makes 26.5PS of power and 22Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission that also comes with slip and assist function. CF Moto claims a 0-200m time of less than 10s while the top speed is 128kmph. The kerb weight is 151kg and the motorcycle has a ground clearance of 150mm as well. Wheelbase of the 250NK is 1,360mm while the seat height is 795mm. The fuel tank capacity is 12.5 litres. Disc brakes on both ends and dual channel ABS too have been provided. Upside down forks in the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear are part of the hardware as well.
While it is still unclear if Eider Motors is back in business or if CF Moto has found a new partner, one thing is certain. The launch is imminent. The motorcycle will be manufactured in India and will go up against the Honda CB300R as well as the KTM 250 Duke. CF Moto, being a Chinese company, will price the motorcycle very aggressively. The CF Moto 250NK price in India could start from Rs 2.2 lakh, ex-showroom.
