Benelli, as we reported earlier, has launched the Leoncino 250 in India. The Benelli Leoncino 250 price in India is Rs 2.5 lakh, ex-showroom. One can book the motorcycle for Rs 6,000 at a dealership or online. The amount is refundable. Deliveries start from Diwali onwards. The Benelli Leoncino 250 colors in India include Grey, white, red and brown. A 3-year/unlimited kilometre warranty is offered as standard.
What are the Benelli Leoncino 250 technical specifications?
The Benelli Leoncino 250 boasts a 25.8PS/21Nm, 250cc liquid-cooled engine. This four valves per cylinder motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Apart from this, the motorcycle gets a fully digital instrument cluster that’s a bit different than the one on the bigger 500. All the lights are full-LED units. 41mm USD forks in the front and pre-loaded adjustable monoshock at the rear are provided. Benelli has added a 280mm front disc while the rear has a smaller 240mm unit. Dual channel ABS with a switchable function is provided. There are 17-inch tyres at both ends.
It is nice to see Benelli launch its products rather quickly in the market. Earlier this year, the brand announced a remergence and also sustained service back up in India. The new Imperiale 400 is on the cards for a launch later this month as well. It will take on the Jawa as well as Royal Enfield bikes. We will be riding the 250 soon. It’s competition in India will be from the KTM 250 Duke, Mahindra Mojo, Honda CB300R and BMW G310R. Stay tuned for our first ride impressions!
