Bajaj Auto, this year, seems to be quite busy. No sooner had they launched the new Dominar 400, the company has now unveiled another updated motorcycle. The Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear price in India is Rs 53,376 for the drum and Rs 2,000 additional for the disc brake variants. All the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. There are three colour options to choose from –
Ebony Black with Blue decals, Ebony Black with Royal Burgundy decals and in Cocktail Wine Red. Bookings can be done across all Bajaj dealerships in India while deliveries will be fulfilled in two weeks time.
What’s new in the Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear?
For starters, the design is the same as the regular Platina. However, the new dual tone graphics make a lot of difference and make the motorcycle look fresher in appearance. However, the Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear, as the name suggests has got five gears. The instrument console is a part digital unit and shows a plethora of useful information. In top gear, if the revs are low or it is a high load situation, the console will warn the rider of an imminent stall.
Speaking of engine, the Platina H-Gear features a 115cc engine that makes 8.6PS of power and 9.8Nm of torque. The motorcycle weighs in at 118.5kg and has a ground clearance of 200mm. The suspension components are regular forks in the front and a Nitrox canister-aided SNS unit at the rear. Bajaj claims that the shocks transferred to the pillion are 20 per cent less than other motorcycles. The motorcycle rests on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends.
A 240mm disc is optional in the front while the 110mm drum is standard on both ends. The motorcycle also gets CBS as standard. What’s also part of the standard fare is the kick starter as well as electric start.
There are next to no 110cc bikes with a 5-speed gearbox. Competition though will be in the form of TVS Victor which itself isn’t doing well.
